Rajasthan SET Revised Notification has been issued on 15 July 2026. Rajasthan SET Form Last Date 2026 has been extended by the University of Kota from 15 July to 31 July 2026. University has also added two new subject codes i.e.Mass Communication and Journalism (101036) and Sanskrit Traditional Subjects (101037). Rajasthan SET Exam Date 2026

Rajasthan SET Exam Date 2026 has been announced by the UOK. Earlier, the Rajasthan SET was scheduled to be conducted on 6 September 2026, which is now revised to 13 September 2026. Age Limit & Relaxation

There is no upper age limit for the Rajasthan SET Exam 2026. 

Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualifications to apply for the Rajasthan SET examination. The key Rajasthan SET Eligibility Criteria are as follows:-

• Candidates must have a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognized university or institution with the minimum marks according to their category criteria as follows:-

• Final-year postgraduate students and candidates awaiting their Master's degree results are also eligible to apply. Such applicants will be granted provisional eligibility and must complete their Master's degree within two years of the declaration of the SET result. Candidates failing to obtain the required qualifying marks within the stipulated period will lose their eligibility status.
• Candidates are required to appear for the SET examination in the same subject as their postgraduate qualification.
• If a candidate's postgraduate subject is not included in the Rajasthan SET subject list, they may opt to appear for the UGC NET or UGC-CSIR NET examination instead.

Note:- Applicants from the Third Gender category are entitled to the same relaxation in eligibility requirements and application fees as provided to SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The qualifying cut-off for Third Gender candidates will be determined according to the lowest applicable cut-off among the reserved categories for the respective subject.

Rajasthan SET Application portal is open now for eligible candidates. To submit the Rajasthan SET Application Form online, candidates are required to follow the steps provided below:-

1. Go to the official University of Kota website and access the Rajasthan SET 2026 application portal.
2. On the homepage, locate and click the “Rajasthan SET 2026 Notification” or “Apply Online” link.
3. First-time applicants must complete the registration process by providing basic details such as name, email address, and mobile number, and then create login credentials.
4. After registration, sign in using your registered email ID and password.
5. Complete the online application form by entering the required personal information, academic details, and selecting the subject you wish to appear for.
6. Upload the necessary documents, including a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and relevant educational certificates, as per the prescribed specifications.
7. Proceed to the payment section and pay the application fee through the available online payment methods, such as UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking.
8. Carefully verify all the information entered in the application form before proceeding.
9. Once satisfied that all details are correct, submit the application form.
10. Download and save the submitted application form or confirmation page, and keep a printed copy for future reference.

Rajasthan SET 2026 Exam Pattern 

Rajasthan SET Exam 2026 will take place on 13 September 2026. Candidates should check the SET exam pattern first before starting their exam preparation. Here we are providing detailed Rajasthan SET Exam Pattern 2026, including subjects, number of questions, maximum marks, duration and other required information that candidates should know to appear in the exam:-

1. The Rajasthan SET Examination consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
2. Both papers contain objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
3. The examination is conducted without any break between the two papers.
4. Question papers are available in both English and Hindi. However, language subjects are provided only in the respective language chosen by the candidate.
5. If there is any discrepancy or confusion in the translated version of a question, the English version will be considered final. The university's decision in such cases will be binding.
6. Candidates receive 2 marks for every correct answer.
7. No negative marking is applied for incorrect responses.
8. No marks are awarded or deducted for questions that are left unanswered.
9. If any question is found to be incorrect and is subsequently removed from evaluation, 2 marks will be awarded to all candidates who appeared for that paper, irrespective of whether they attempted the question.

Rajasthan SET Certification Validity

The Rajasthan SET certificate remains valid for a lifetime and does not require renewal. However, the certificate is applicable only within the state. Candidates who qualify for the Rajasthan SET become eligible to apply for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges as per the recruitment rules and selection procedures prescribed by the concerned institutions and recruiting authorities.

Candidates will not receive a printed copy of the hall ticket through post or any other offline mode.
