The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is conducting the 32nd Bihar Judicial Services Examination, which intends to fill 155 Civil Judge vacancies in the Bihar High Court. BPSC released the official notification for the Bihar Judiciary vacancy 2023 on 20 February 2023, which includes important information such as exam dates, eligibility criteria, selection process, and exam pattern. Earlier, candidates who passed the BPSC Judicial Services 32nd Prelims which was on 4 June 2023, were asked to apply for the Mains exam from October 5th and October 25th, 2023. The BPSC 32nd Judicial Services Mains 2023 will take place from November 25th to November 29th, 2023.

The Judicial Service Exam is administered by the Bihar Public Service Commission, which allows law students to become civil judges in Bihar. The registration process will be strictly based on the commission's requirements; accordingly, candidates must carefully check the BPSC Judiciary Services Eligibility Criteria. A candidate who is not eligible but registers for the exam will be declared ineligible and will be barred from taking the exam. Candidates are therefore advised to thoroughly review the eligibility conditions given below.
BPSC requires that candidates be Indian citizens to be eligible to apply for the post of Civil Judge through the Bihar Judicial Services Examination. Any candidate with a foreign nationality is ineligible to apply for the aforementioned positions.
The minimum age of a candidate should be 22 years on 01 August 2022. Candidates should not have attained the age of 35 years as on 1st August 2019 (For Unreserved).
Age Relaxation: The maximum age for the reserved category candidates and all female candidates is 40 years.
A graduate degree in law or equivalent from a recognized university is required to be able to apply for BPSC Judicial Services. Candidates should keep in mind that the degree must be from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
The candidates must follow the steps mentioned below while filling out the BPSC Judiciary Services Online Application Form 2023.
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission at (bpsc.bih.in).
Step 2: Click on the application link for the 32nd Bihar Judiciary Services Exam on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your details such as name, date of birth, educational qualification, category, etc.
Step 4: Process to upload your scanned documents including recent photograph and signature.
Step 5: Pay the application fees mentioned below, as per your category.
Step 6: Submit the form and take a printout of the final submission for future reference.

The BPSC Judicial Services selection procedure consists of three stages. Each of the three stages is qualifying in nature. Candidates will be considered eligible for the next stages of the examination only if their preliminary scores are higher than the minimum cut-off marks.
The selection process stages are defined below
There will be two papers in this examination, both of them will be objective type in nature having MCQs in them. The minimum passing mark for the Preliminary Exam is 45% for general category candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates.
For candidates in the reserved category, which includes women and those with partial impairments, the minimum passing mark for the Mains Exam will be 5% lower.
Candidates who qualify the Prelims will be shortlisted for the main examination. The Bihar Civil Judge Mains exam consists of five compulsory and three optional papers. The main examination consists of descriptive questions worth a total of 1050 marks.
Candidates who pass the mains exam will be considered for the interview procedure. The personal interview will be graded out of 100 points. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 35% to be finally considered for the final selection of the BPSC Judicial Services selection process.
To be eligible for the final interview round, you must obtain the minimum required marks in the first two phases of the BPSC Judicial Services examination. The BPSC Judicial Services exam pattern for both, Prelims and Mains is described below

The BPSC Judicial Services mains test includes five obligatory subjects that all candidates must take. The English and Hindi papers are required to be completed and are qualifying in nature. To pass both of these papers, candidates must obtain 33 points. However, these points will not be counted in the final scoring to advance to the next round. 32nd Bihar Judiciary Services Admit Card 2023
The BPSC Judicial Services Prelims admit card was released on 30 May 2023. This is for the Prelims, which were held on June 4th, 2023. Candidates who will be appearing in the BPSC 32nd Judicial Services Mains Exam will now be able to download their admit card one week before the exam date, which is 25 November 2023. Follow the steps below to download your BPSC Mains Admit Card.
Step 1: Visit the BPSC official website.
Step 2: Click on the link given on the homepage to download your admit card.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Online BPSC Portal, where you need to login with your credentials.
Step 4: Login to the portal with your Application Number and Password
Step 5: Your BPSC 32nd Bihar Judicial Services Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Now, save and take the printout of the admit card PDF for future use.
The Commission has declared the result of the Preliminary Examination of the Bihar Judiciary Services examination on 27 September 2023.
