The AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-5) is a national-level recruitment process conducted to appoint eligible candidates to various Group 'B' and Group 'C' non-faculty positions under participating AIIMS institutes and other healthcare organisations. The recruitment covers a wide range of posts in nursing, healthcare support, laboratory services, administration, engineering, accounts, and other allied disciplines.
The first stage of the selection process for all posts under CRE is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates who are shortlisted in the CBT will be required to appear for a Skill Test (depending on the post requirements), followed by Document Verification. Candidates shortlisted through the recruitment process will be considered for appointment at the institutes participating in AIIMS CRE 2026, as specified in the official notification.

The AIIMS CRE Notification 2026 mentions the Eligibility Criteria for each post under the CRE-5 recruitment. The online application process for AIIMS CRE Recruitment 2026 commenced with the release of the official notification on 13 June 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the AIIMS Assessment and Examination Portal until the prescribed deadline. Candidates are advised to complete the registration process well before the last date to avoid any last-minute technical issues. Follow the steps given below to fill out the AIIMS CRE 2026 Application Form successfully:
Step 1: Visit the AIIMS Examination Portal at aiimsexams.ac.in and navigate to the Recruitment section.
Step 2: Click on the Common Recruitment Examination tab and click on the “Common Recruitment Examination - 5 (CRE-5)” Link
Step 3: A New Page having “Create a new Account” and “Login to Apply” will appear on your page. If you have not registered before, complete your registration with all necessary details. Then, proceed to fill out the AIIMS CRE-5 application form
Step 4: Upload the required scanned copy of your documents, such as your photograph, signature, and other supporting certificates.
Step 5: After uploading the documents, proceed to pay the application fee. CRE application Fees can be paid online through Netbaking, credit/debit card, or through UPI.
Step 6: Verify all the details you have entered in the application form. Once confirmed, submit your AIIMS CRE-5 application.

During the Document Verification (DV) stage of AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026, candidates must present all original documents along with one self-attested photocopy of each document. These documents are essential to verify eligibility and must be produced as per the official requirements.

The AIIMS CRE Selection Process 2026 includes two main stages. Candidates will be selected for AIIMS CRE posts based on the following stages:
Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The CBT of the Common Recruitment Test (CRE-5) will be a 90-minute online exam with 100 MCQs carrying a total of 400 marks. It will have two parts:
The AIIMS CRE 2026 exam will be divided into five sections, each with an 18-minute time limit. It will auto-submit after the time ends, and you cannot go back to the previous sections.
Stage 2: Skill Test (if required for the post)
Some posts will require a Skill Test after clearing the CBT. This test checks the practical abilities of the candidates needed for specific roles. Shortlisting of the candidates for the Skill Test will be based on CBT marks.
Stage 3: Document Verification
Candidates who qualify the CBT and Skill Test (if applicable) will then appear for the Document Verification stage. Their original certificates will be verified by the respective AIIMS or Institute. Candidates must present their valid age certificate, proof of educational qualifications and experience certificate, category proof, and other required documents. If any document is missing or invalid, their candidature will be cancelled by the AIIMS.

AIIMS CRE-5 Admit Card 2026 will be released online on the official AIIMS examination portal, 3 days before the commencement of the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Only candidates who complete the application process will be able to download their hall tickets by logging in with their Registration ID and password.
The admit card will contain important details such as the candidate's name, roll number, examination date, reporting time, examination centre address, and important instructions related to the examination. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all the information mentioned on the admit card and carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.
To download the AIIMS CRE-5 Admit Card 2026, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Visit the official AIIMS Exam Portal and click on the CRE-5 option.
Step 2: Enter your Registration ID or username along with your password/Date of Birth.
Step 3: Once you have submitted these details, you will be able to download your CRE-5 Admit Card.
Step 4: Save and print the AIIMS CRE-5 Admit Card 2026.
Step 5: Make sure to print out the AIIMS CRE-5 Admit Card to carry it to the exam centre.
As of now, AIIMS does not release an official answer key for the Common Recruitment Examination conducted earlier. Based on the previous CRE recruitment cycles, AIIMS has directly declared the examination results after conducting the CBT.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences will release the AIIMS CRE-5 Result for CBT and Skill Test (if applicable for the post) separately for each post/group on their website in a PDF format. Candidates will be able to check their CRE result on the candidate’s dashboard of the AIIMS Exam portal by logging in with their registered ID and password. The result will include the marks obtained, qualifying status, and details of candidates shortlisted for the next stage.
After the result is declared, candidates will have to take part in the preference-filling process, where they choose their preferred AIIMS institutes. Based on the candidate’s rank, category, and filled preferences, the seat allotment will be done by the concerned authority.

Candidates selected through the centralised AIIMS CRE-5 Exam for Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ non-faculty posts will receive monthly salaries mapped under Pay Levels 1 to 8 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), depending entirely on the respective post cadre and independent institutional recruitment rules.
