Union Minister, Honorable Anurag Singh Thakur grandly inaugurated the Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 at Luhnu Cricket Ground, Bilaspur on 5 March 2024.

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid were present as chief guests on this occasion.

Based on Prime Minister Modi's inspiration 'Kheloge To Khiloge':

Anurag Thakur cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Kheloge To Khiloge' as the inspiration for organizing the grand event of Mahakumbh.
MP Khel Mahakumbh has become the biggest platform for the players of Hamirpur parliamentary constituency to play, blossom and showcase their talent.

75,000 players will participate:

After its two successful editions, Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 was inaugurated at Luhnu Ground in Bilaspur.
Luhnu Cricket Ground: Bilaspur's cricket gem in Himachal Pradesh.
40,000 people participated in the first edition of this Sansad Khel Mahakumbh and 45,000 people participated in the second edition. The target of participation of 75,000 players has been set in this third edition.

300 MP Games organized across the country:

On the inspiration of Prime Minister Modi, about 300 MPs across the country are organizing MP Khel Mahakumbh in their respective areas. The popularity of MP Khel Mahakumbh is so much that the youth are completely away from drugs and are going to make their career in sports.

Five sports included:

This time, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket, basketball and athletics have been included in the Khel Mahakumbh.
Village/Panchayat level teams will be invited to participate in all sports disciplines.
To promote gender equality, separate categories will be created for both boys and girls.

About MP Khel Mahakumbh:

It was launched in the year 2018.
More than 1400 teams participated in the first Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 1.0 held in 2018. 42,700+ youth showcased talents in Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi, and Cricket.
Involving players from 800+ panchayats and 5000+ villages, participants received over Rs 20 lakh in prize money.

Second MP Khel Mahakumbh 2.0:

The second Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 2.0 organized in 2023 was organized in Basti, Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister Modi had inaugurated the second phase of Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 2022-23 through video conferencing on January 18, 2023.
More than 2300 teams participated in it. In which more than 45,700 youth demonstrated.
More than 1000 girls were involved in this.
7 sports disciplines (basketball, volleyball, football, kabaddi, cricket, wrestling and athletics) were included in 2023. Players from more than 800 panchayats and more than 5000 villages participated in it. Prize money of over Rs 50 lakh was awarded to the participants.
