Ministry of Tourism Signs MoU with IndiGo to Promote India as a Global Tourism Destination

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) on 30 July 2026 in New Delhi. The MoU establishes a strategic, non-exclusive, non-financial partnership to promote India as a preferred global tourism destination through a campaign titled "Incredible India by IndiGo."

What does the Incredible India by IndiGo campaign cover?

The "Incredible India by IndiGo" campaign will highlight a broad spectrum of India’s experiential tourism segments:

1. Cultural & Heritage Tourism: Historic sites, regional heritage, and artistic traditions.
2. Spiritual & Wellness Tourism: Yoga, Ayurveda, and major pilgrimage circuits.
3. Nature & Wildlife: Eco-tourism, national parks, and biodiversity hotspots.
4. Adventure Tourism: Himalayan sports, coastal activities, and outdoor travel.

Promotion will run across digital and print media, airport branding, in-flight platforms, social media, and international travel exhibitions. While the ministry provides Incredible India brand assets and stakeholder coordination, IndiGo will develop destination content and amplify messaging across its customer platforms, together aiming to boost international tourist arrivals and India's global tourism profile.

The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture. Also present were Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism; Shri Suman Billa, Additional Secretary and Director General (Tourism); Shri Harikishore S, Joint Secretary; along with Shri Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer, and Shri V. Sunil, Creative Director, IndiGo, joined by senior IndiGo representatives.
