Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) football team of Kolkata defeated fellow city based East Bengal Football Club (EBFC) team 1-0 in the final to win its 17th Durand Cup . The final of the 132ndDurand Cup was played at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata(West Bengal) on 3 September 2023 .
Mohun Bagan is the most successful team in the history of the Durand cup with 17 title wins under its belt.
The winners of the Durand Cup are given three trophies:Durand Cup,Shimla Trophy and the President’s cup .These trophies were handed to MBSG and a cheque of Rs 60 lakhs as prize money. The runners up East Bengal team got the prize money of Rs 30 Lakhs.
The 132nd edition of the Durand Cup was hosted by the Durand Football Tournament Society in cooperation with the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Eastern Command of the Indian Army , Government of West Bengal and supported by the government of Assam.

Durand Cup:
- Durand football tournament or Durand cup is the oldest football club tournament in Asia .
- It was started in 1888 and the first tournament was held in Shimla .
- Initially it was a football tournament for different regiments of the British army and it was later opened to the civilians .
- The Cup is named after the foreign secretary of British India ,Moritmer Durand.
