Luc Frieden takes over as the new Prime Minister of Luxembourg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Luke Frieden on taking over as the Prime Minister of Luxembourg.

Luke Frieden is the leader of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV):

Luxembourg's centre-right Christian Social People's Party (CSV) emerged as the winner in the 19 November 2023 general election, while Prime Minister Xavier Bettel's ruling liberal coalition failed to win a clear majority.
CSV stood first with 29 percent votes, winning 21 out of 60 seats.
The outgoing coalition, made up of the Socialists and the Liberal Democratic Party, gained only 29 seats, falling just short of a majority as the Greens lost five seats.
The results put CSV in a strong position to lead a coalition government, with talks set to begin shortly on 20 November 2023.
CSV leader Luke Frieden hailed his party's victory on the night of 19 November 2023, saying that "voters voted en masse for a different government and a different policy."
