Himanshu Dhillon's Silver Medal

Himanshu scored 52.2 in the first series and stood at 104.8 after two series. He stayed among the medal contenders through the elimination stage and ended with 252.4. China's Olympic champion Sheng Lihao won gold with 254.2, just 1.8 points ahead. This was Himanshu's first appearance in the Asian Games 10m air rifle individual final, which makes the silver a big personal achievement.

Rudrankksh Patil's Bronze Medal

Rudrankksh began with 52.8 and quickly moved into the top three. He held his place through the eliminations and finished with 230.9 for bronze. He already has Asian Games gold from the men's 10m air rifle team event at Hangzhou. Earlier this year, he also won individual gold at the Asian Rifle/Pistol Championships in New Delhi.

India's Growing Shooting Success in Asian Games 2026

Elavenil Valarivan had earlier won individual silver in the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 and also helped India win women's team silver. With the two individual medals and the team silver, India has won three medals in the men's 10m air rifle events alone. The results build on India's record shooting performance at Hangzhou, where the contingent won 22 medals, including seven golds.
