10 Medals for India at 2025 Polyak Imre & Varga Janos Wrestling Meet

The Indian wrestlers finished their campaign at the Polyak Imre & Varga Janos Memorial 2025 wrestling tournament with 10 medals: three gold, three silver, and four bronze.
The 4th and final Ranking Wrestling tournament of the 2025 calendar year, the Polyak Imre & Varga Janos Memorial 2025, was held in Budapest, Hungary, from July 17 to 20, 2025.
The Indian wrestler competed in the men's and women’s freestyle events, as well as the men’s Greco-Roman.
The first medal for India in the Budapest event was won by Sujeet Kalkal, who won a gold medal in the 65kg men’s freestyle category.
Rahul bagged a bronze medal in the 57 kg men’s freestyle on the opening day of the tournament.
The women's wrestler won six medals - two gold, two silver and two bronze in the tournament.
The Indian team finished with 10 medals - three gold, three silver and four bronze medals.

The United World Wrestling (UWW) organises four World Ranking tournaments in a calendar year in which the world’s best male and female wrestlers participate.
In the Olympic year, only two World Ranking tournaments are organised.
The wrestlers competing in the Ranking tournaments earn points and qualify for the season-ending World Wrestling Championship.

Third - Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 29 May- 1 June
Fourth - Budapest, Hungary, from 17-20 July
