Indian Junior women’s Hockey team finished third in the 4 nation cup at Dusseldorf

The Indian women’s junior Hockey team won its final match against England by 6-2 goals to secure the third spot in the 4 Nations Junior Men’s Invitational Tournament held at Dusseldorf, Germany. Players under 21 years of age participated in the tournament .

The 4 Nations Junior Women’s Invitational Tournament was held at Dusseldorf, Germany from 18-23 August. India, England, Spain and the host German team participated in the tournament . 

The tournament was won by the German team with the Spanish team coming second. India came third and the English team stood fourth.

The Dusseldorf tournament was part of the preparations for the upcoming FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup, scheduled to be held in Santiago, Chile from 29th November to 10th December 2023. 

The India team captain was Preeti and the coach of the team was Tushar Khandker
