India and Chile have signed four Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) during the visit of the Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font to India. President Boric was on his first official visit to India from 1-6 April 2025. He is the third Chilean President to visit India after Ricardo Lagos in 2005 and Michelle Bachelet in 2009.
The Chilean President Gabriel Boric will visit four Indian cities - Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, and Bengaluru in chronological order.
During his visit to New Delhi, President Boric met the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and the External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar.
During the meeting of both Prime Ministers, discussions were held on bilateral, regional, and global issues.
Both the leaders issued a Joint Statement after their meeting, which outlined the future direction of the Indo-Chilean bilateral relations..
Four agreements/ Memorandum of Understanding were exchanged between the two sides.

Chile is the 5th largest trading partner of India amongst the Latin American countries.
A Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) was signed between the two countries in 2016 to boost bilateral trade.
