G.Sathiyan wins WTT Feeder Beirut Table Tennis 2024 Title

Indian table tennis player G.Sathiyan beat fellow Indian Manav Vikash Thakkar in the final to win the men’s singles title at the WTT Feeder Beirut 2024 table tennis tournament at the Al Kawthar Secondary School in Lebanon on 21 March 2024.
Diya Chitale and Manush Shah won the second title for India by winning the mixed doubles title.
First WTT Feeder Series Single Title for G.Sathiyan
World no.103 ranked G.Sathiyan became the first Indian to win a singles title at the WTT Feeder Series event. He beat world no. 74 ranked player Manav Thakkar in the final. G.Sathiyan, a two-time Commonwealth gold medalist, lost the first game to Manav but returned strongly to win the title.
In the semifinal, G.Sathiyan defeated the World no 39th-ranked Chinese Taipei’s Chuang Chih-yuan.
Mixed doubles title to Diya Chitale and Manush Shah
In the mixed doubles event, the Indian pair Diya Chitale and Manush Shah defeated the fellow Indian pair Manav Thakkar and Archana Kamath.
While Manush Shah and Chitale beat Poymantee Baisya and Akash Pal of India in the semis, Thakkar and Kamath defeated Ibrahim Gunduz and Sibel Altinkaya of Turkey in the semi-final.
Xia Lian Ni wins women’s single title
Xia Lian Ni of Luxembourg defeated Suh Hyo Won of South Korea to win the women’s single title. It was the second WTT Feeder Series title for Xia Lian Ni.
Manav Thakkar and Manush Shah loses men’s doubles final
The World no.17 men’s doubles pair of Manav Thakkar and Manush Shah lost to world no 29 pair of Jorge Campos and Andy Pereira of Cuba.
