World number six ranked player Casper Ruud of Norway defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece to win the ATP Barcelona Open 500 tennis title's singles title. Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan defeated Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine to win the singles title of the WTA Stuttgart Grand Prix.
The world no 6. ranked Norwegian Casper Ruud won the biggest trophy of his career by defeating the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in a straight set 7-5,6-3. Casper Ruud also avenged his defeat in the Monte Carlo Open, where he lost to Stefanos in a one-sided final match.
Before the Barcelona Open, Ruud had won 10 tennis titles at the 250 level. This was the first time that he had won a 500-ranked ATP tournament.
The ATP 500 tournament means the winner gets 500 ranking points.
Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni Win the Double Title
The Argentinean pair of Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni defeated the pair of Hugo Nys (Monaco) and Jan Zielinski of Poland in the final to win the doubles title of the Barcelona Open. It was the second season title for the Argentinian pair.
The Barcelona Open is a 500-point ATP event played on clay courts. It was held from 15-21 April in Barcelona, Spain. Rafael Nadal of Spain has won it a record 12 times.
Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan defeated Marta Kostyuk in straight sets 6-2,6-2 to win the singles title of the WTA Stuttgart Open. This was the third title of Rybakina.
Rybakina has won the Brisbane International and Abhu Dhabi Open titles this year.

The pair of Chan Hao-Ching of Taiwan and Veronica Kudermetova of Russia defeated the pair of Ulrikke Eikeri of Norway and Ingrid Neel of American-Estonia to win the doubles title at the Stuttgart Open.
