The Final Countdown: Essential Checklist before UPSSSC PET Exam 2023

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission, also known as the UP PET, is preparing to hold the Preliminary Eligibility Test. Are you prepared for your next UPSSSC PET 2023, which will be held on October 28 and 29, 2023. This test will be held as a gateway to Uttar Pradesh Group B and C Posts. Those who pass the UP PET 2023 will be able to apply for any Group C and B posts in the UP Government for the duration of the validity of their scorecard, which is one year.

Follow these basic guidelines to prepare for your UP PET Exam Day 2023 a day before and on the day of the exam.

Revision of Short Notes Only

To keep your mind fresh and free of tension, you need to revise the short notes you prepared on important topics only. Don't overburden your mind with difficult topics. Ideally, you should review all topics thoroughly one day before the exam in a quiet study spot so that you can concentrate on reading without interruption.

Certainly, one day is insufficient to complete the entire syllabus of logical reasoning, much alone other high-scoring courses. So study wisely and maximize your marks by practicing crucial topics.

Make a study schedule for each topic and divide your time properly.

Managing Your Time

You need to allocate specific time while answering questions in each section; do not linger too long on a single difficult question.

The examination will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions and Graphics-based DI questions for a total of 100 marks. You have to answer all the questions within the duration of 2 hours. Make sure to secure a minimum of 40% marks because those who secure more than 40% scores will be eligible to proceed to the next stage of the selection process for Group B or C posts.

To do so, you have to carefully answer your questions 10-15 minutes before the time of the examination and fill out the OMR Sheet carefully.

Instructions for Filling OMR Sheet in UP PET 2023

The examination will be conducted in Offline Mode, and the candidate will be provided with an OMR Sheet along with the Question paper to mark the UP PET Answers with the black ball pen. Here we are sharing some important things about the OMR Sheet that you need to keep in mind while attempting the UPSSSC PET 2023.

  • Do not write anything else other than the required information on your OMR sheet.
  • Fill in the OMR sheet with all of the essential information as prescribed by the exam invigilator.
  • It is best to mark your answers in the OMR sheet only after carefully reading and solving the questions so that you do not fill in the wrong answers in a hurry.
  • Do not fill in more than one option for each of the questions because there is only one correct option out of the given 4 options.

UP PET Exam Center Etiquette

All the rules we are sharing here must be followed by candidates going to appear in the UP PET Examination either on 28 or 29 October.

  • Don’t forget to carry UP PET 20232 Admit Card: Entry into the UP PET Exam Venue will not be allowed by the authorities if you are not carrying your Admit Card with you.
  • Reaching Before Reporting Time: Candidates who are scheduled to take the UPSSSC PET Exam should arrive early to minimize traffic problems or last-minute hassles. The reporting time at the exam centre is mentioned on the admit card, and candidates must adhere to it, and if possible try to reach the exam centre 15-20 minutes before reporting time.
  • Do not Carry Prohibited Items: Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing any communication devices such as Bluetooth, mobile phones, earphones, pagers, microphones, health bands, and so on at the exam centre/venue. Candidates must strictly adhere to all of the commission's rules and regulations.
  • Carry Valid Photo Identity Proof: Candidates must also present an original copy of a valid picture identification card. Valid IDs include an Aadhar Card, a driver's license, a voter ID card, or a passport. Bring two recent passport-size photos of yourself for identification.
