NVS Recruitment Notification 2024 Out: Apply for Non-Teaching Posts

NVS Notification 2024 has been issued by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) on its official website. The NVS Online Application Window is open from 22 March to 14 May 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the NVS.

Applications submitted via any mode other than online will not be accepted under any circumstances. Candidates should submit only one application. Candidates must apply well before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues.

The NVS has announced a total of 1377 vacancies for various non-teaching positions, encompassing roles such as Female Staff Nurse, Catering Supervisor, Computer Operator, Junior Secretariat Assistant (JNV Cadre), Junior Translation Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Legal Assistant, Electrician cum Plumber, Stenographer, Junior Secretariat Assistant (HQ/RO Cadre), Audit Assistant, Mess Helper, Lab Attendant and Multi-Tasking Staff. The NTA/NVS reserves the right to change the number of vacancies, adjust the examination process, and establish minimum cutoff marks without providing any reasons for such modifications.

Assistant Section Officer

  1. Having a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University.
  2. Accumulation of three years of experience in administrative and financial matters within the Central Government or an Autonomous Organization under the Central Government.

Audit Assistant

  1. Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from a recognized University.

Junior Translation Officer

  1. Possession of a Master's Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level, 

OR 

a Master's Degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as an elective or compulsory subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level, 

OR 

a Master's Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English as an elective or compulsory subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level, 

OR 

a Master's Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English from a recognized University with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level,

Legal Assistant

  2. Accumulation of three years of experience in handling legal cases in a Government Department, Autonomous Bodies, or Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

Stenographer

  1. Candidates should have completed the 12th standard from a recognized Board or University.
  2. Skill test norms include
  • Dictation: maintain a speed of 80 words per minute in 10 minutes.
  • Transcription: 50 minutes in English,& 65 minutes in Hindi (On computer).

Computer Operator

  1. Possession of a BCA/B.Sc. degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized University.

OR

  1. Possession of a BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized University.

Catering Supervisor

  1. Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India/State Government.

OR

  1. Possession of a Trade Proficiency Certificate in Catering, accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of service in the regular establishment of Defence Services (for Ex-servicemen only).

Junior Secretariat Assistant (HQ/RO Cadre)

  1. Achievement of a Senior Secondary Certificate (Class XII) from a recognized Board and the ability to type at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English typewriting or 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting.

OR

  1. Successful completion of the +2 level of Senior Secondary from CBSE/State Board with Secretarial Practices and Office Management as Vocational Subjects.

Junior Secretariat Assistant (JNV Cadre)

  1. Successful attainment of a Senior Secondary Certificate (Class XII) from a recognized Board, along with demonstrated proficiency in typing at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English typewriting or 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting, is required.

OR

  1. Successful completion of the +2 level of Senior Secondary from CBSE/State Board with Secretarial Practices and Office Management as Vocational Subjects.

Electrician cum Plumber

  1. Completion of 10th class.
  2. Possession of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Electrician/Wireman.
  3. Accumulation of at least 2 years' experience in electrical installation, wiring, or plumbing.

Lab Attendant

  1. Completion of 10th class with a certificate or diploma in Laboratory Technique.

OR

  1. Completion of 12th class with a Science stream from a recognized Board/University.

Mess Helper

  1. Successful completion of Matriculation (Class X) from a recognized board.
  2. Accumulation of 5 years' experience working in a Government residential organization's Mess or school's Mess.
  3. Passing the skill test prescribed by NVS.

Multi Tasking Staff

  1. Completion of Class X from a recognized board.

NVS Non-Teaching Application Process

NVS Non-Teaching Application can be submitted online by visiting the official website of the NVS till 14 May 2024. The NVS Recruitment 2024 Apply Online process involves three steps: Registration, Filling up the Application form & Documents Upload, and Fee Payment.

Candidates can follow the steps provided below to apply for the NVS Recruitment 2024:-

Step 1 - Registration Process:

  1. Visit the official website of NVS.
  2. Select the ‘Recruitment’ tab on the homepage and click on “Fill out an Online Application link”.
  3. Select the appropriate link under ‘Recruitment Drive-2024’.
  4. A new window will appear displaying instructions for submitting online applications. Carefully read the provided instructions and accept.
  5. Click on the ‘Start’ button.
  6. A registration form will appear. Choose the profile you are applying for and enter your first and last name, phone number, and email address.
  7. Click the Submit button and an email containing your credentials such as user ID and password will be received.

Step 2 - Fill up the Application Form & Documents Upload:

  1. Access your account by logging in using the provided user ID and password.
  2. Select the ‘Go to Application’ tab.
  3. Fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and eligibility details.
  4. Upload soft copies of your recent photograph, signature, and left thumb impression in JPG / JPEG format.
  5. Read and accept the declaration.

Step 3 - Payment of Application Fees:

  1. After 24 hours, log in to your account once more and then proceed to select the ‘Make Online Payment’ link.
  2. Choose any of the available payment options and pay the examination fee.
  3. Print the e-receipt for future reference.
  4. Alternatively, you can submit the fees using e-Challan. Check the application status at least 2 days after the deposition of money.

Application Fees 

To complete the NVS application form, candidates must pay an application fee along with a processing fee. The payment must be made online only. NVS Non-Teaching 2024 Selection Process

The NVS Selection Process varies from post to post. We are detailing the selection process of NVS Non-Teaching positions below:-

  1. Legal Assistant:- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in both the competitive exam and interview. The NVS's decision regarding the selection mode and eligibility criteria for the interview will be final and binding, with no correspondence entertained in this regard.
  2. Female Staff Nurse, Assistant Section Officer, Audit Assistant, Junior Translation Officer, Computer Operator, Catering Supervisor, Lab Attendant, and Multi-Tasking Staff:-  The selection will be based solely on the candidates' performance in the Competitive Exam.
  3. Stenographer, Junior Secretariat Assistant (HQ/RO Cadre), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JNV Cadre), Electrician cum Plumber, and Mess Helper:- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the Competitive Exam and selected candidates will undergo a Trade/Skill Test. This test will be of qualifying nature only and will carry no weightage in the final selection process.
