The NIACL AO Selection Process involves three stages that a candidate has to go through. These include a Preliminary Exam, a Main Exam and an Interview.
Phase I : Preliminary Exam
The NIACL Pre exam is an online computer based objective test of 100 marks. Candidates who qualify the Pre will be eligible to move on to the next phase, the Main exam. This exam is common for both Generalist and Specialist posts.
Phase II : Main Exam
The main examination will consist of 200-marks Objective Tests and a 30-marks Descriptive Test. The Objective and Descriptive Tests will both be available online. Candidates will be required to type their answers to the Descriptive Test on a computer.The Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately following the completion of the Objective Test.
Phase III : Interview
The company shall conduct an Interview for the candidates who qualify the 2nd phase Main exam. The final selection of suitable candidates shall be made on the basis of the Mains and Interview scores combined. The weightage attributed to the result of the exam and the interview is in the ratio of 75:25.
As mentioned above, the selection of candidates for the NIACL AO posts is done on the basis of eligibility tests in three phases - a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview.

NIACL AO Phase II Main Exam Pattern
The Main exam consists of two tests : an objective test of 200 marks and a descriptive test of 30 marks. Candidates are required to secure passing marks in both the exams to qualify this stage.
I) The 1st section is a 200 mark objective type test with MCQs of 1 mark each. The exam pattern for the objective type test is as tabulated below.

II) The second part of phase 2 Mains exam has a descriptive test of 30 marks. Candidates are supposed to write a letter for 10 marks and an essay for 20 marks in English. The descriptive test shall also be conducted online.
NIACL AO admit card 2023 for the online examination are released on the official website prior to the exam. Candidates will be able to download the admit card using their Registration No/Roll No and Date of Birth. Admit cards will not be sent by post to any candidate.
The admit card or NIACL Call letter for each phase of the exam shall be issued separately. These will be available in the Recruitments section of the official website. Candidates must carry a printout of admit card along with an original and valid photo ID proof for verification purposes.
NIACL AO Phase II Call Letter Direct Link
The NIACL AO Phase II call letter has been released on the official website on 30 September. Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Phase I exams need to download their call letter to carry it to the exam center.
NIACL will release the official answer key of the AO exam on the website after completion of each phase. Candidates can calculate their marks and estimate scores using the published answer key.
First, the provisional answer keys will be released, followed by the final answer keys. Candidates can also submit objections against the provisional answer key within the stipulated time.
NIACL will announce the result in a phased manner at each stage of the selection process. Candidates who obtain the minimum required score in the preliminary exam will be shortlisted for mains. The NIACL has issued the Pre exam result for the AO exam. The list of shortlisted candidates is available on the official website.
After the mains exam, candidates who secure the prescribed cutoff marks will be shortlisted for the interview round.
Finally, a merit list will be prepared based on the consolidated marks obtained by the candidates in Mains and Interview. The final result will mention the roll numbers of provisionally selected candidates.
NIACL AO 2023 Scorecard Direct Link (For Prelims)
In the official announcement of the phase 1 result, the NIACL has stated that the mark sheets and cut off marks for the 2023 Pre exams shall be released on the website soon. The company shall declare separate cut-off marks for every exam stage.
The NIACL AO pre cut-off for 2023 has been released along with the scorecard. When candidates go to the Scorecard download link, the cut-off for all categories and subjects shall be displayed on selecting the Marksheet for Phase I Online Exam from the drop down.
