Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Eligibility Criteria 2024 

To avoid being eliminated later in the selection process, candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria set by ICG for the post of Yantrik, such as age limits, educational qualifications, nationality and physical standards. Check all the details provided below carefully:

The Indian Coast Guard has begun accepting online applications for the Yantrik position starting on 13 June 2024. Candidates must visit the ICG's official website to apply online. Eligible applicants interested in serving in the Indian Coast Guard can follow these steps to complete their application:

  1. Go to the Indian Coast Guard's official website. On the homepage, select the "Join ICG as Enrolled Personnel (CGEPT)" application link.
  2. A new screen will appear with the link titled "Online application for CGEPT-01/2025 batch is open from 13 Jun 24 (1100 HRS) TO 03 Jul 23 (2330 HRS). For Registration". 
  3. Click on this link and log in to fill out the application form.
  4. Complete the necessary information in the "Online Application" section.
  5. Choose the position you want to apply for (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics) and click “I Agree”.
  6. Double-check all the information you have entered. 
  7. Once confirmed, hit the Submit button. Note down your Application/Registration number after successful submission.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Selection Process 2024

The selection process for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Yantrik Recruitment 2024 includes the following stages:

Stage-I

  • Written Test: Under this stage, candidates will undergo the computer based examination.

Stage-II

  • Assessment/Adaptability Test: Under the Assessment test, candidates will be evaluated using an OMR-based test, the result of which will be announced after one hour. The qualified candidates will proceed to the next stage, i.e. Physical Fitness Test.
  • Physical Fitness Test: PFT will consist of a race, squats, and push-ups.
  • Document Verification: All the documents provided by the candidates during the application will be checked. 
  • Initial Medical Examination: At this step, a Provisional Medical Exam will be performed to determine whether the candidate is qualified for the post. Candidates who have been pronounced permanently or temporarily unfit have the right to challenge the results of the initial medical examination. Following completion of the first medicals, the appeal medical must be performed "within 21 days if permanently unfit" or "within 42 days if temporarily unfit."

Stage-III

  • All documentation given by the candidate will be rechecked, and a final medical test will be undertaken at INS Chilka to determine fitness.

Stage-IV

  • All original documents of finally shortlisted candidates will be verified for the last time.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2024 - Exam Pattern

Stage I is a computer-based test and is divided into four sections, namely Section I, III, IV, and V. Section I of the ICG Yantrik Exam Pattern is common for all positions, i.e. electrical, electronic, and mechanical. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted for the PFT. All three PFT tests must be performed in sequence, with no breaks. Any deviation from the three tests will result in failure of the PFT. The following are the parameters for the Physical Fitness Test:
