Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Eligibility Criteria 2023

Application Process of Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2023

The Indian Coast Guard has begun accepting online applications for the Navik (DB, GD) from the 8th of September 2023. For the online application, candidates must go to the ICG's official website. Mode of Payment: Examination Fee can be paid online through net banking or with a Visa/Master/Maestro/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI. Candidates should be aware that their E-admit card will be issued only after the examination fee has been successfully paid.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Selection Process 2023

The selection process for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Yantrik Recruitment 2023 includes the following stages:

Stage-I

• Written Test: Under this stage, candidates will undergo the computer based examination.

Stage-II

• Assessment/Adaptability Test: Under the Assessment test, candidates will be evaluated using an OMR-based test, the result of which will be announced after one hour. The qualified candidates will proceed to the next stage, i.e. Physical Fitness Test.
• Physical Fitness Test: PFT will consist of a race, squats, and push-ups.
• Document Verification: All the documents provided by the candidates during the application will be checked. 
• Initial Medical Examination: At this step, a Provisional Medical Exam will be performed to determine whether the candidate is qualified for the post. Candidates who have been pronounced permanently or temporarily unfit have the right to challenge the results of the initial medical examination. Following completion of the first medicals, the appeal medical must be performed "within 21 days if permanently unfit" or "within 42 days if temporarily unfit."

Stage-III

• All documentation given by the candidate will be rechecked, and a final medical test will be undertaken at INS Chilka to determine fitness.

Stage-IV

• All original documents of finally shortlisted candidates will be verified for the last time.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2023 - Exam Pattern

Stage I is a computer-based test and is divided into four sections, namely Section I, III, IV, and V. Section I of the ICG Yantrik Exam Pattern is common for all positions, i.e. electrical, electronic, and mechanical. Candidates must pass the following sections, depending on the posts for which they have applied.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted for the PFT. All three PFT tests must be performed in sequence, with no breaks. Any deviation from the three tests will result in failure of the PFT. The following are the parameters for the Physical Fitness Test:

• Running 1.6 kilometres in 7 minutes
• Twenty squats (Uthak Baithak)
• Ten push-ups

The basic pay for an Indian Coast Guard Yantrik will be Rs. 29200/- (under Pay Level-5). The Yantrik pay will be Rs. 6200/-.
