The BSF RO RM selection process is rigorous and multi-stages, with the goal of identifying the most qualified and eligible individuals for the posts. A written examination, a physical standard test, a physical efficiency test, and a medical examination are all part of the BSF RO RM selection procedure.

The written examination is the initial part of the selection process, and it assesses candidates' knowledge in a variety of areas, including General Awareness, Mathematics, Physics, and Radio Communication. The written exam is given in both Hindi and English and comprises multiple-choice questions.
PST, PET, and documentation are all required.
Candidates who pass the written examination are invited to the next stage, the Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates are checked on numerous characteristics such as height, weight, chest measurement, and vision during the PST. Physical tests are an important part of the screening process, since they confirm that the candidates are physically fit and capable of managing the responsibilities of a Radio Operator / Radio Mechanic.

Candidates, whose application forms are found to be correct in all respects by the Document Scrutiny Board, will be issued BSF Radio Operator/Radio Mechanic Admit Card for the CBT. Candidates can download their admit card once they are released by the BSF; the separate information will also be sent to them via e-mail and SMS. The steps to download the BSF RO/RM Admit Card 2023 are mentioned below:

The salary of the BSF Head Constable RO RM is as per the provision of 7th Pay Commission. The current BSF Head Constable RO/RM Salary is in the Level 4 Pay Matrix, with basic pay ranging from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100. In addition to the basic salary, the individual is entitled to various other allowances such as dearness allowance, ration money allowance, free accommodation, transport allowance and much more.
