The selection process of BPSSC Police SI in the Prohibition Department consists of the following stages:

• Written Examination: Candidates who have successfully submitted their application form and paid the application fee will be invited to take a combined written test consisting of Prelims and Mains. 
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Those who pass the written exam (mains) will be shortlisted for the physical efficiency test. The PET will include a variety of physical tasks.
• Medical Exam: Candidates who pass the PET will be called in for a medical exam. The medical exam will be used to determine if the candidate is physically and psychologically fit to execute the duties of a police sub-inspector.
