Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, a resident of Venezuela who was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest person in 2022, has passed away at the age of 114. 

  • When Pérez was 112 years and 253 days old he was considered as the oldest living person by Guinness on February 4, 2022. 
  • He was the father of 11 children and, as of 2022, had 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. 
  • He was born on May 27, 1909 in the town of El Cobre, situated in the Andean state of Tachira. 
  • As a young child, he worked alongside his father and brothers in farming, harvesting sugarcane and coffee from the age of five. Later, Pérez became a sheriff and was responsible for resolving land and family disputes while still working in agriculture.

Tallest man

According to Guinness World Records, Sultan Kösen of Turkey is the current record holder for the title of "tallest living man". He won this title in 2009 and his height was 8 feet 1 inch.

Tallest woman

On the other hand, Rumeysa Gelgi, a web developer from Turkey, holds the title of the tallest woman in the world with a height of 7 feet 0.7 inches. She is also the current titleholder of five Guinness World Records and is known for her resilience and positivity.
