UP Launches 'Kaushal Setu' and 'Kaushal Sarathi' Portals to Digitise Skill Development System

The Uttar Pradesh government launched two digital platforms, Kaushal Setu and Kaushal Sarathi, on July 16, 2026, to strengthen the state's skill development ecosystem. The launch took place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, during the state-level celebration of World Youth Skills Day 2026. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, inaugurated both portals.

What is the Kaushal Setu Portal?

Kaushal Setu is built to digitise the registration and empanelment of training partners under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM). It offers online registration, paperless documentation, and a transparent approval process, cutting down repeated visits to government offices.

What is the Kaushal Sarathi Portal?

Kaushal Sarathi is aimed at students and job seekers, giving them access to details on training centres, courses and training partners across the state. A built-in digital map helps users locate nearby training centres and pick suitable skill programs without hassle.

MoUs Signed for AI, Robotics and Textile Skills

Alongside the portal launch, UPSDM signed MoUs with KLK Private Limited and Winsome Textile Industries Limited. These partnerships will support training and job opportunities in emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence, robotics and advanced textile technology, aligning youth skilling with what industry actually needs.

Building a Digital, Industry-Linked Skill Ecosystem

Kapil Dev Agarwal also released a coffee table book titled 'Skilling the Future Uttar Pradesh: Journey from Training to Transformation.' He said the government's priority is linking skill development directly with technology, industry, and employment outcomes. Together, the two portals are expected to bring more transparency, wider access to training, and a more efficient digital skilling system across Uttar Pradesh.
