CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Announces Development Projects Worth ₹912 Crore in Udaipur and Rajsamand

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 804 development works worth more than ₹912 crore during his visit to Udaipur and Rajsamand on Sunday. In Udaipur, 457 works worth ₹421 crore were launched, while Rajsamand saw 347 projects worth over ₹491 crore inaugurated as part of the state government's broader development roadmap for Rajasthan.
The Chief Minister said work on the Ramjal Setu Link Project was progressing rapidly and would help secure adequate water supply for the public, farmers and industries in the region. He noted that the Yamuna Water Agreement for the Shekhawati region had been made possible under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while work on the Dewas Project was being accelerated to benefit Udaipur and its surrounding areas.
On electricity, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said MoUs worth ₹2.24 lakh crore had been signed with public-sector undertakings to make Rajasthan self-reliant in power generation. He announced that farmers across all districts of the state would get daytime electricity supply by 2027, with 26 districts already receiving it. New grid substations of varying capacities were being set up, and the PM-KUSUM scheme was helping farmers become energy producers alongside their role as food providers.
The Chief Minister highlighted the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit as a key initiative to boost industry and investment in the state. Of the MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore signed at the summit, projects worth around ₹9 lakh crore had already moved into implementation on the ground.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reaffirmed the government's commitment to providing 400,000 government jobs to youth. He said appointments had already been made to more than 178,000 posts, recruitment was underway for over 132,000 posts, and preparations were being made for recruitment to more than 70,000 additional posts, taking the total recruitment process in motion to around 380,000 posts. He added that all recruitment examinations in the state were being conducted transparently, and around 450,000 employment opportunities had also been created in the private sector.
