Amazon India Offering Jobs to Persons with Disabilities in 5 States

The electronic marketplace Amazon India has signed an agreement with five state governments to provide employment opportunities  to Persons with Disabilities so as to enable their participation in the mainstream workforce.  These states are Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

The agreement with these states will be valid until 2026 . Under the agreement Amazon India will support  Persons with Disabilities with on-the -job training, intervention and create an environment of acceptance and inclusion .

They will be provided employment opportunities in Amazon’s operation networks like delivery stations, sortation centre etc.

Amazon is considered to be one of the four big tech companies of America ,other being, Apple, Alphabet (owner of Google) and Meta (earlier known as Facebook).
