On the visit to poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi released three books named Panini Ashtadhyayi Bhashya, Ramanandacharya Charitam and Rashtraleela of Lord Shri Krishna, written by Rambhadracharya Maharaj.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Sanskrit is not only the language of traditions, but it is also the language of progress and identity of the country.
During the visit, the PM also visited Shri Ram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya and paid tribute to the 'samadhi' of industrialist late Arvind Bhai Mafatlal.
Prime Minister said that the nation is taking development and heritage in Amrit Kaal. Chitrakoot has natural beauty as well as spiritual enlightenment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the emphasis on the development of pilgrimage.
He mentioned the Ken-Betwa Link Project, Bundelkhand Expressway, and the Defence Corridor and said that it would create new opportunities in the region.
Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Rambhadracharya is a Katha artist based in Chitrakoot. Rambhadracharya Maharaj is one of the four incumbent Jagadgurus Ramanandacharya, and he has held this title since 1988. He is the founder and head of the Tulsi Peeth since 1987. He has been blind since the age of two months, and without using Braille, he has authored more than 100 books and 50 papers, including four epic poems. In 2015, he received Padma Vibhushan from the government of India.
Jagatguru means guru of the universe. This word has been used for Acharyas belonging to the Vedanta school of thought in Hinduism. They have written Sanskrit commentaries on Brahma Sutra, Bhagwat Gita and Mahabharat (combined called Prasthanatrayi). Traditionally, the title Jagadguru is used by all the peetadhipathis of Mathas founded by traditional Jagadgurus like Ramanujacharya, Nimbarkacharya, Adi Shankaracharya, Madhvacharya, and Vallabhacharya.
Amrit Kaal is the Prime Minister’s vision for 2047 for ‘New India’, a new dawn for the country which will bring with it the chance to fulfil the nation’s aspirations by restructuring all fragments of the Indian economy through rapid profitable growth, better living conditions for all, infrastructural and technological advancements, and re-awakening the world’s trust in India.
The Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal incorporates the goal of developing India, elimination of any trace of the colonial mindset, honour and pride in our roots, development of unity, and a sense of duty among citizens.
Ken-Betwa Link Project (KBLP) is the river interlinking project and its aim is to transfer surplus water from the Ken River in Madhya Pradesh to Betwa in Uttar Pradesh to irrigate the drought-prone Bundelkhand region.
In this project, a multipurpose dam will also be created, which will produce 103 MW of hydropower and supply drinking water to 62 lakh people.
Ken and Betwa rivers are the tributaries of Yamuna and originate in MP.
Ken joins the Yamuna near the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh and Betwa joins the Yamuna in the Hamirpur district of UP.
Ken River also passes through the Panna Tiger Reserve.
