Ratan Tata receives prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award

Renowned industrialist Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata was honoured with the prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award 2021. For this, a felicitation ceremony was organized at his personal residence in Mumbai on 22 April 2024.

Honoured for social development and exemplary corporate leadership:

In this felicitation ceremony, he was honoured by educationist Prof. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT & KISS and Kandhamal Lok Sabha MP. This is an important recognition of his commitment towards social development and exemplary corporate leadership.

In this function, Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Cage, among others, were present. The honor was presented by Dr. Achyut Samant, Founder of KIIT and KISS.
Tata has been refraining from public appearances due to health concerns, prompting a private ceremony at his residence.

KISS honour was announced in 2021:

This honor was announced in 2021. But then Ratan Tata was unable to receive this honour due to the Covid pandemic. In its acknowledgement, Tata expressed its gratitude to KISS and its founder Dr. Samanta.
Ratan Tata is usually hesitant in accepting praise. Recognizing the importance of the KISS humanitarian honour, Dr. Achyuta Samanta agreed to accept the honour following a personal request.
After receiving the honour, Ratan Tata has said that I am very happy to receive this honour. This is the most important moment of my life. Dr. Samanta has said that it is a privilege for us to honour him with this honour. Ratan Tata's philanthropy and leadership have been a source of inspiration for me since childhood.

About the KISS Humanitarian Award:

Initiated by Dr. Achyuta Samantha in 2008, the KISS Humanitarian Award is the highest honor of KIIT and KISS. It is dedicated to recognizing individuals and organizations that embody the spirit of humanitarian work around the world.
Previous recipients of this prestigious honor are a diverse group of global leaders. It includes Nobel laureates and notable individuals from various fields. These demonstrate the wide international appeal and respect of this award.
On this occasion, around 40,000 students of KISS wished Ratan Tata a healthy, long and disease free life.

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was honoured with the KISS Humanitarian Award 2023 for his remarkable and philanthropic work.
This important honour was given to leading global philanthropist Bill Gates for his philanthropic work on 28 February 2024.
