Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 'Braj Raj Utsav' to be held on 23 November 2023 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. In Mathura, Prime Minister Modi will also watch the performance of Hema Malini on the birth anniversary of Meera. Along with this, PM Modi will go to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Banke Bihari Temple to offer prayers.
Meera Bai Jayanti:
- Regarding the birth of Meera Bai, it is believed that it happened around 1448. Meera Bai, the only daughter of Rathore Ratan Singh of Jodhpur, was engrossed in devotion to Krishna since childhood. Against Meera Bai's wishes, she was married to Prince Bhojraj of Mewar.
- Meera Bai Jayanti is celebrated every year on the occasion of Sharad Purnima of Ashwin month. This year Meera Bai Jayanti was celebrated on 28 October 2023.
- Saint Meera Bai Utsav, marking her birth anniversary, will be prominently celebrated from 23 to 25 November during the Braj Raj Utsav.
- On 23rd November, there will be a dance drama based on the life of Me era Bai ji in the presence of the Prime Minister at the Railway Ground Fair in Mathura.
- Besides, a national symposium on Meera Bai is scheduled on November 24 and 25 at the Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium of the Veterinary University campus. Eminent scholars from across the country have been invited as speakers in this national seminar.
- To honour Meera Bai's birth anniversary, UP Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad will organize the screening of Hema Malini starrer 1979 film 'Meera' at Rupam Talkies on November 24. Besides, the 1947 film 'Meera' starring Shubhalakshmi will be screened on November 25.
- A postal stamp will also be issued on this occasion and a proposal for beautification of the Sadhana place will also be presented.
Braj Raj Utsav:
- Braj Raj Utsav is being organized by UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, UP Tourism and Culture Department, District Administration. It started from 14th November with bhajans and songs of Ishita Vishwakarma.
- Braj Raj Utsav is being organized at the railway grounds located on Dhauli Pyau Marg from 14th November to 27th November. Along with local artists, famous artists of the country will perform every day in this event.
Banke Bihari Corridor:
- Many meanings are being inferred from the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this 14-day Braj Raj Utsav program. In which the case of Banke Bihari Corridor is considered to be the most important.
- In this context, there is discussion in the administrative circles that the High Court may soon give its verdict in this matter. After this, Prime Minister Modi can announce the corridor, which can be beneficial in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
- Apart from this, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has a two-day visit. During this time, Shri Krishna is gathering information about the Janmabhoomi and Idgah dispute.
- Before this proposed visit of Prime Minister Modi, he had come to Mathura in September 2019. After this, Prime Minister Modi has not visited Mathura.
- At present, Brajbhoomi is in a lot of discussions ranging from the Idgah-Shri Krishna birthplace dispute to the Banke Bihari Corridor.
- The Idgah-Shri Krishna birthplace dispute has also been in the headlines for the last several years, hence with the arrival of the PM, it is believed that he can woo the Braj residents by giving them some necessary election gift to Brajbhoomi.
