PM Modi Inaugurates Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station In UP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ayodhya Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh, known as Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station. The Prime Minister also dedicated three railway projects costing Rs. 2300 crore to boost regional rail infrastructure. Prime Minister Modi launched the Amrit Bharat Express, a new category of superfast passenger trains.

Architecture of Ayodhya Dham Junction

The Railway Station follows the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir style in Ayodhya.
The railway station is designed in the Nagara style, typical of Ayodhya, with arches, shikars and pyramids.
The terminal or shell structure covering the railway tracks will be shaped like lotus petals as a nod to India's national flower.
The chakra behind the Mukut represents the Sun.
Two shikars are proposed for the top of the Janaki Mandir-inspired structure.
The centre dome, located at the heart of the structure, is shaped like a 'Mukut,' inspired by Shri Ram's Mukut.

Redevelopment Work

RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Service) Limited was responsible for the reconstruction.
RITES is a central public sector undertaking under the Railways Ministry.

Changing the Name of a railway station

The Indian Railways has not decided to change the name of any railway station.
Railways is only a party to this decision, which the government makes of the relevant state.
Changing the names of stations is solely a State Subject; hence the decision to do so is entirely up to the respective state government.

Process of changing the name of the station

The state government submits its application to the Home Ministry, the nodal agency, to change the name of any station.
The Home Ministry also consults with the Railway Ministry before approving the proposal.
It is also ensured that no other station in the country bears the proposed new name.
It requires approval from the Union Home Ministry, the Railway Ministry, the Department of Posts and the Survey of India.
Following that, the Home Ministry permits him to modify the name of any location or station.

Inauguration of 2 Amrit Bharat and 6 Vande Bharat Express trains in Ayodhya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat Express trains from Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, which has been renovated.
Amrit Bharat is a new type of superfast train that has non-air-conditioned coaches. For better acceleration, the Amrit Bharat train includes locos at both ends.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, and Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express were all flagged off.
The PM also dedicated to the nation three railway projects costing Rs 2,300 crore to strengthen regional rail infrastructure.

About Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat

The PM virtually launched the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express.
According to the Central Railway, the Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate the 8-coach service while speaking at a celebration at the renovated Ayodhya Dham railway station in Uttar Pradesh.
