Ace cueist Pankaj Advani won his 36 National Billiards and 10th Snooker title at the 91st Billiards and Snooker National Championships 2024 held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The 91st Billiards and Snooker National Championships 2024 for Senior, Junior, and Sub Junior was held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh from 7th January to 16th February 2025.

It was organised by the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India and hosted by the Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association.

The Girls and the Women events were held at the Indore Tennis Club, adjacent to Yeshwant Club, from 7th Jan to 18th Jan 2025.

The Boys and the Men events were held at the Yeshwant Club, Indore from 17th Jan to 16th Feb 2025.

Pankaj Advanis Dominate at the 91st  National Championships 

Pankaj Advani of the ONGC  was in great form at the National Championships. He defeated  Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Brijesh Damani 5-1 in the final. In the group stages, Pankaj Advani had lost to Brijesh Damani.

The Bronze medal was awarded to the losing semifinalist Aditya Mehta and MD Hussain.

Qualifying Event for the Asian and World Championships

  • The Billiards and Snooker National Championships is the only qualifying tournament of India for the Asian and the World Championships. 
  • The Asian Snooker Championships 2025 will be held in Doha, Qatar from 15-21 February 2025.
  • Both Pankaj Advani and Brijesh Damani will represent India in the Qatar event.
  • Pankaj Advani has won the Asian Snooker Championships in 2019,2021.
  • Yasin Merchant was the first Indian to win the Asian Snooker Championships in 1989.
