The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) organised a nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign. The campaign will run from November 1st to 30th, 2023, in 602 venues in 105 cities around the country. This is carried out in collaboration with UIDAI, MeitY, 50 Pensioners' Welfare Associations, 16 Pension Disbursing Banks, all Ministries/Departments, and other organisations. Its objective is to increase awareness among Pension Disbursing Authorities and all Central Government pensioners.
Important Statistics
- The Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0 will cover approximately 41 lakh Central Government Pensioners through December 2023.
- More than 21.34 lakh DLCs were generated using the Face Authentication Technique, 97.13 lakh using Bio-metrics, and 10.95 lakh using Iris as a result of the Campaign.
- According to the Department's specialised DLC Portal, the Top five states for DLC generation are :

Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0
- The Department of Pensions and Pensioners' Welfare is running a Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0 in 500 places across 100 cities.
- The Campaign 2.0 ran from November 1, 2023 until November 30, 2023.

- This programme intends to simplify the issuance of digital life certificates for individuals across the country.
