FIM approves India Grand Prix MotoGP event at Greater Noida

The international motorsports body the FIM(Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme) has given its final approval to the Grand Prix of India MotoGP. The Grand Prix of India MotoGP motorcycle race will be held at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) racetrack in Greater Noida , Uttar Pradesh .

This information was provided by Rohit Sharma, the chief marketing officer (CMO) of FairStreet Sports (MotoGP Bharat), the organisers of the event on 15 September 2023.

The 13th leg of the prestigious MotoGP event will be held at the  Buddh International Circuit race track on September 24, 2023. So far three Formula 1 motor car races have been held at the  Buddh International Circuit between 2011 and 2013.

Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (International Motorcycle Federation) is an international governing body of motorcycle racing. It organises a variety of motorcycle races in the world.

It was set as Fédération Internationale des Clubs Motocyclistes (FICM) in 1904 in Paris, France. 

It was renamed as Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme in 1949.
