PM Modi to Launch ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ Campaign on 2 August 2026.

On 2 August 2026, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch the nationwide "Nasha Mukta Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan." Spearheaded by MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the initiative is conceptualised as a 100-week sustained Jan Bhagidari movement against substance abuse. The launch will feature a simultaneous Nasha Mukti Pledge taken by over 1 crore youth across nearly 10,000 locations, making it one of India's largest youth-led anti-drug campaigns.

1. Mass Pledge & Simultaneous Mobilisation

1. Participation: Over 1 crore youth across nearly 10,000 locations nationwide.
2. Volunteer Cadre: Participants will commit themselves to nation-building as Nasha Mukta Yuva Volunteers.
3. Stakeholder Coalition: Driven by MY Bharat volunteers, NSS units, Youth Clubs, academic institutions, NGOs, industrial bodies, and over 125 spiritual organisations.

2. The 100-Week Action Plan

Rather than a one-time awareness drive, the campaign unfolds across 100 consecutive weeks, with youth-led activities scheduled every Sunday:

1. Sunday Activities: Sports tournaments, walkathons, meditation sessions, cultural performances, nukkad nataks, and community awareness drives.
2. Milestone Recognition: Outstanding volunteers and organisations will be honoured at the 50th, 75th, and 100th week milestones.

3. Institutional Alignment

1. Nodal Leadership: Backed by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who has appealed to youth and social organisations to join the movement.
