Kolkata-based Mohun Bagan Super Giant won the 11th edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25, defeating Bengaluru FC 2-1 in the final. This was the second ISL Title for Mohun Bagan Super Giant, who previously won it in 2022-23 as ATK Mohun Bagan.

The 2024-25 ISL final was played at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium in Kolkata on 12 April 2025.

In the stipulated 90 minutes of the match, both teams were tied at 1-1 goals. In the extra time, Jamie Maclaren of Mohun Bagan Super Giant scored the winning goal to make his team the ISL champion for the second time.

2nd Team to win both ISL Winners Shield and ISL Title 

Mohun Bagan Super Giant became the second team in the ISL's history to win the ISL Winners Shield and the ISL Title in the same season.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant, also known as Mariners, defeated Odisha FC in the final to lift the  2024-25 ISL Winners Shield. 

Before Mohun Bagan, Mumbai City FC won the ISL Winners Shield and the ISL Title in the 2020-21 season.

  • Golden Boot (Maximum goal scorer in the season) - Alaaeddine Ajaraie of the North East United FC scored 23 goals.
  • Golden Glove (Best Goalkeeper)- Vishal Kaith of Mohun Bagan Super Giant
  • Golden Ball (Best Player of Tournament)-Alaaeddine Ajaraie of the North East United FC
  • Emerging Player of the League-  Brison Fernandes of FC Goa.
  • Best Grassroots Programme: Jamshedpur FC
  • Best Elite Youth Program: Punjab FC

About ISL and the winners of ISL Titles

The Indian Super League is a premier professional club-based football league in India, which started in 2014.

The All India Football Federation(AIFF), Reliance Industries Limited, and Star India have promoted the ISL.

In 2019, FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) recognised the league as India’s top club-based professional domestic league.

At present, there are 13 clubs in the ISL.

Two trophies are given in a season. The team that tops the points table at the end of the ISL season is awarded the ISL Winners Shield.

The top six teams in the season then play for the ISL Title.

In the 2024-25 season, Mohun Bagan Super Giants topped the points table and were awarded the ISL Winners Shield.

It also won the ISL Title of this season.
