The government of Madhya Pradesh has issued a notification stating that 35% of government job vacancies will be reserved for women, except in the forest department.

An amendment to the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997 has been introduced to implement this.
- The Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has also announced that 35% of vacancies in police and other government jobs will be given to women, and 50% of teaching positions will be reserved for them.
- Furthermore, financial assistance under the “Ladli Bahna Yojana”, a welfare scheme for women, will be transferred to beneficiaries by the BJP government. The scheme provides ₹1,250 per month to each beneficiary.
- Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh are scheduled to take place by the end of this year.
