The 98th Academy Awards (Oscars 2026) were held on 15 March, 2026 at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, USA.

Ryan Coogler’s period horror film 'Sinners' received a record-breaking 16 nominations.
This is the highest number of nominations ever received by a single film in the history of the Academy, surpassing the previous record of 14 nominations held by 'All About Eve', 'Titanic' and 'La La Land'.
Its closest competitor is the film 'One Battle After Another', a major political thriller by Paul Thomas Anderson. It received 13 nominations and dominated among Critics and Guilds.
