The Indian men’s junior Hockey team lost its final match against Germany 1-6 to secure the second spot in the 4 Nations Junior Men’s Invitational Tournament held at Dusseldorf, Germany. Players under 21 years of age participated in the tournament .
Earlier the Indian team had beaten the English team by 4-0 and the Spanish team by 6-2 goals.
The 4 Nations Junior Men’s Invitational Tournament held at Dusseldorf, Germany from 18-23 August. India, England,Spain and the host German team participated in the tournament .
The tournament was won by the German team followed by India at the second place, Spain at the third place and the English team finished at the fourth and last place.
The Dusseldorf tournament was part of the preparations for the upcoming FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup, scheduled to be played in Malaysia in December 2023.
The India team captain was Uttam Singh and the coach of the team was CR Kumar.
