India completes its campaign at ISSF World Cup 2023 with two medals

India concluded its campaign at the ISSF World Cup 2023, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with one gold and one silver medal.

India's Nischal won a silver medal in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions at the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 18 September 2023.

Nischal won the silver medal:

• Nischal, a 19-year-old Indian shooter, won a silver medal on the final day of the ISSF World Cup, bringing India's medal count to two.

Gold medal to Elavenil Valarivan:

• Earlier, Elavenil Valarivan had won the gold medal in the women's 10-metre air rifle event on 16 September 2023.
• Velarivan defeated Oceane Muller of France by scoring 252.2 in the final.
• It is Velarivan's second individual World Cup medal.

16 Indian shooters participated:

• 16 Indian shooters participated in the ISSF World Cup held in Rio.
