The Gandhi Vatika, a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, was inaugurated at Central Park by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Gandhi Vatika Inauguration was on 23 September.
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) spent 87 crore rupees on the museum's construction.
According to State Urban Development and Housing Minister Shanti Dhariwal, the Rajasthan government and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot guided and initiated the construction of the innovative museum in memory of Mahatma Gandhi, which was named Gandhi Vatika.
As part of the State Government's 2021-22 budget announcement, the Jaipur Development Authority constructed this museum.
The three-floored museum had a basement and different sections on each floor to highlight various aspects of Mahatma Gandhi's life and teachings.
The basement showcased the dark age of colonization, the early days of freedom struggle, the Revolt of 1857, and Gandhi's life in South Africa.
The ground floor had sections on Gandhi's return to India, his concept of nation, movements initiated by him, and his last days. The first floor showcased sections on Gandhi's visits to Rajasthan and his influence across the globe.
