On August 03, 2023, Delsy Rodríguez, the Executive Vice President and Finance Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, visited Upa-Rashtrapati Niwas and met with the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar. 

Ms. Rodríguez's visit to India was part of an official four-day trip (August 02-05, 2023) to attend the 9th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) India-Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Conclave in New Delhi.

  • During their meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen the friendly relations between India and Venezuela, with a particular focus on enhancing business, economic, and people-to-people partnerships between the two countries.

  • They also took the opportunity to review the bilateral relations and exchanged views on various sectors, including politics, trade, energy, health, pharmaceuticals, Ayurveda and Yoga, agriculture, culture, and science and technology.
