The results of four of the five state assembly elections held in November 2023 have been declared. Out of these election results, Bharatiya Janata Party has got an absolute majority in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, while in Telangana, Congress Party has got a majority by defeating Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
- Assembly elections were held in these five states Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram between 7 and 30 November and the results of 4 of these states were declared on 3 December 2023. Counting of votes in Mizoram will be done on December 4.
Rajasthan Assembly Elections (2023):
- The Election Commission issued the notification for elections in Rajasthan on 30 October. Counting of votes took place on 3 December 2023.
- In the elections held on 199 seats out of the total 200 seats of the Rajasthan Assembly, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got 115 seats, Congress 69 seats, BSP 2 and others 13 seats.
Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections (2023):
- The Election Commission issued the notification for elections in Madhya Pradesh on 21 October and voting took place on 17 November 2023. Counting of votes took place on 3 December 2023 and the election results were released.
- Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections were held on a total of 230 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got 163 seats, Congress 66 seats and others got 1 seat.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections (2023):
- The Election Commission issued the election notification in Chhattisgarh on 13 October. Elections were held here in two phases (7 and 17 November 23). Counting of votes took place on 3 December 2023.
- Chhattisgarh Assembly elections were held on a total of 90 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got 54 seats, Congress 34 seats and others got 1 seat.
Telangana Assembly elections (2023):
- The Election Commission issued the notification for elections in Telangana on 13 October. Elections were held here in one phase. Counting of votes took place on 3 December 2023.
- In the elections held on a total of 119 seats of Telangana Assembly, Congress got 64 seats, BRS got 39 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got 8 seats and others got 8 seats.
Mizoram Assembly elections (2023):
- The notification for elections in Mizoram was issued by the Election Commission on 13 October. The elections were held here in one phase, and the counting of votes took place on 4 December 2023.
