Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) received a Letter of Intent (LoL) for the acquisition of Halvad Transmission Limited (HTL) on 27 December 2023. AESL has received a letter of intent for acquisition from PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL). Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) is a part of the Adani portfolio.

Through a tariff-based competitive process, AESL achieved:

  • AESL acquired HTL through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. HTL will be commissioned on BOOM (Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain) basis in 24 months.
  • Halvad Transmission Limited (HTL), is a special purpose vehicle. HTL was set up by PFCCL to acquire 7 GW of renewable energy from Khavra Renewable Energy Park.
  • The Halvad transmission line, which is part of the national grid, will help extract 7 gigawatts of renewable energy by connecting Khavda to Halvad in Gujarat.
  • AESL will invest approximately Rs 3,000 crore to build, own, operate and maintain the transmission project over 301 km (656  ckm) for 35 years.

Largest renewable energy park:

  • The world's largest renewable energy park with 30,000 MW green energy generation capacity is coming up in Khavra, Gujarat.
  • AESL is committed to partnering with the government and developers of renewable energy to accelerate the uptake of renewable energy from generating sectors.
  • The 7 GW project will go a long way in providing additional renewable energy to consumers.
  • AESL will use the latest technology to operationalise this project with minimum environmental impact.

  • AESL was earlier known as Adani Transmission Limited. It is an electric power transmission company.
  • It presently stands as one of the leading private sector entities engaged in power transmission operations within India.
  • AESL is the largest private transmission company in the country. AESL has presence in 16 states of India. AESL has a cumulative transmission network of 20,518 CKM and transformation capacity of 53,161 MVA.
