BPSC Agriculture Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Age Limits (as on 01 August 2023)

The minimum age for all candidates for various Agriculture Officer posts is 21 years and the maximum age for each category is as follows:

• Scheduled Castes and Tribes (male and female) - 42 years.

Application Fees & Mode of Payment

To complete the online application process, candidates in all categories must pay the application fees listed in the table below using the online payment gateway. The application fee can be paid using a Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or through any bank's Internet banking service. 

Note: Candidates have to pay Rs. 200/- extra as a biometric fee for each post (if they apply for more than one post). Candidates who have mentioned their Aadhar Number as an identity card in the online application will not have to pay a Biometric Fee (additional fee).

BPSC Agriculture Officer Selection Process 2024

Candidates will be selected for the post of BPSC AO through the two-stage selection process, i.e. Written Examination and an Interview.

• Written Examination: The written examination will consist of three subjects: General Hindi (100 marks, one paper), General Knowledge (100 marks, one paper), and post-related subject (200 marks, two papers) for a total of 400 marks. Category-wise minimum qualifying marks in the written examination are as follows:
  • General - 40%
  • OBC - 34%
  • BC - 36.5%
  • SC/ST/PWD & Female candidates - 32%
• Interview: Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be shortlisted for the 50-mark interview round.

BPSC Agriculture Officer - Exam Pattern 2024

• The questions asked will be in MCQ format in English and Hindi Language.
• The written examination will be of three subjects in which General Hindi and General Knowledge are common for all posts. The paper is on post-related subjects and is divided into two parts.

BPSC Agriculture Officer Salary 2024

The candidates will receive a salary under different pay levels according to the posts. The pay level for each post is:
