For the first time, two Indian women's singles players have won a medal in the same edition of the 2025 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (Individual). Tanvi Sharma and Vennala Kalagoti achieved this feat at the 2025 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (Individual) by winning a bronze medal, each.
The 2025 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (Individual) were organised by Badminton Asia and hosted by the Badminton Association of Indonesia at Solo in Indonesia from 23-27 July 2025.
The Championship was open to male and female badminton players below 19 years of age.
In the Badminton Asia Junior Championships, the losing semi-finalists are awarded a bronze medal.
Second-seeded Tanvi Sharma faced Yin Yi Qing of China in the semi-final. In a match that lasted 35 minutes, YinYi Qing defeated Tanvi Sharma in straight sets 21-13, 21-14.
In the other semi-final, Vennala Kalagotia faced Chinese Liu Si Ya, but she lost the match 21-15, 21-18.
After 2018, India has won a medal in the Badminton Asia Junior Championships.
Lakshya Sen won a gold medal in 2018.
PV Sindhu is the only other Indian player to win a gold medal in 2012.
