The English football club Chelsea defeated the UEFA Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) of France 3-0 in the final to win the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
The final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup was played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States of America, on 13 July 2025.
World football governing body FIFA organised the 21st FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the United States from 14 June to 13 July 2025. For the first time of 32 football clubs from six continents participated in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup
England forward Cole Palmer scored twice and created the third goal for Jaoa Pedro as Chelsea defeated the favourite PSG in the final. The 2024-25 UEFA Champions League winner, PSG, was a favourite going into the final. It has defeated Spanish football giant Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi-final and Bayern Munich of Germany in the quarterfinals.
However, in the final, Chelsea proved equal to the task and defeated PSG to lift their second FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea had earlier won the Cup in 2021.
The FIFA Club World Cup is organised by FIFA, in which top football clubs from the six continents participate.
The tournament started in 2000, and Brazilian football club Corinthians won the inaugural edition.
Real Madrid of Spain has won the tournament five times (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022). Barcelona has won it three times (2009, 2011 and 2015).
