Rajasthan Education Department Launched Bounce of Joy Programme

“Bounce of Joy” program has been launched as an innovative initiative in the state to promote sports in the schools of Rajasthan and to groom sports talents.

“Bounce of Joy” program has been launched with the courtesy of the Department of School Education and Stairs Foundation (in collaboration with National Sports Promotion Organisation-NSPO and ITC).
Inaugurating the program, Government Secretary, School Education Department, Shri Jain said that through the 'Bounce of Joy' program, special training will be given to the physical teachers of our schools, so that they can groom the young sports talents in the schools, both inside and outside the field. It will create a generation of champions.
Under the ‘Bounce of Joy’ programme, 100 schools and 132 physical education teachers across Rajasthan have been selected in the pilot phase on the basis of ‘need gap analysis’.

Objective of ‘Bounce of Joy’

Along with the school selection process, ‘Bounce of Joy’ emphasizes the recognition of teachers.
Physical education instructors are selected not only for their professional expertise but also for their unwavering dedication towards promoting sports in education.
To create an exclusive cadre of trainers committed to bringing positive change in the lives of students with a passion for promoting holistic development.
A special training module has been prepared to strengthen the capabilities of these selected teachers.
This module has been specifically designed for the specific needs of Rajasthan and the participating schools.
There is an emphasis on equipping teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to seamlessly integrate sports into the curriculum.
Additionally, ‘Bounce of Joy’ covers broader aspects of student welfare, beyond the scope of sports education. Aspects like nutrition, health, hygiene and life skills awareness have been integrated in this module.
Under this, a dedicated team of professional football trainers will conduct more than 100 classes across the state.
This includes activities ranging from distributing and assembling training goalposts, providing uniform and high-quality infrastructure across all participating schools, distributing professional-grade footballs to promote the standard of accessible sports equipment.
