The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched the National Youth Parliament Festival 2024 finals on March 5, 2024. This festival is being organized in the Central Hall of the New Delhi Parliament House. The closing ceremony of this festival will be organized on March 6, 2024. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will attend the closing ceremony on March 6, 2024.

This year, the National Youth Parliament is being organized on the theme 'Young Voices: Engage and Empower for Nation’s Transformation’.

Organization of National Youth Parliament Festival, 2024:

The National Youth Parliament Mahotsav, 2024 is being organized across the country from February 9, 2024 to March 6, 2024.
The Youth Parliament was organized at three levels, spanning 785 districts nationwide.
The District Youth Parliament was organized from February 9, 2024 to February 14, 2024.
The winners of District Youth Parliament-2024 participated in the State Youth Parliament from 19 to 24 February 2024.
The 87 state-level winners gathered for the finals of the National Youth Parliament-2024 being held in the Central Hall of Parliament on 5th and 6th March 2024.
87 State winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners) are participating in the National Youth Parliament. Of these, 29 (first position holders of each SYP) will present their views on the given topics. The remaining 58 will participate in the National Youth Parliament as audience.

About National Youth Parliament Festival:

Youth Parliament is organized through the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and National Service Scheme (NSS). It is organized at three levels. Which is as follows:
- District Youth Parliament
- State Youth Parliament
- National Youth Parliament.

Objective of National Youth Parliament Festival:

The objectives of the National Youth Parliament Festival organized every year can be seen in the following points:
- The objective of these Youth Parliaments is to strengthen the roots of democracy;
- To develop healthy habits of discipline and tolerance towards the viewpoint of others.
- To enable the youth to learn about the practices and procedures of Parliament.
Youth Parliament also helps in creating awareness about the importance of active citizenship and promoting youth engagement and participation.
This type of event promotes leadership qualities in the youth.
Enabling them to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building in the process.

National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) begins:

The launch of NYPF is based on the idea given by the Prime Minister in his Mann Ki Baat address on 31 December 2017.
Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister's idea, the first National Youth Parliament Mahotsav 2019 was organized at the district, state and national levels. Since then, it has been organized annually. The fifth National Youth Parliament Festival is being organized this year in 2024.
