A two-day international conference and exhibition on ‘Space Technology and Aviation in 2047’ is being organized by the Aeronautical Society of India (AESI) on 18th and 19th November, 2023 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi.
Chief guest of the program:
As the chief guest of this program, President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the major seminar, conference and exhibition.
AESI completes 75 years:
This conference-cum-exhibition is being organized to commemorate 75 years of excellence of the Aeronautical Society of India.
A compendium of 75 years of India's journey in space technology and aviation sector as well as the Vision Document 2047 was also released during the inaugural session of the programme.
The event focuses on India's success in space technology and aviation over the last 75 years, showcasing achievements, technological advancements and the role of great visionaries.
Highlights of the programme:
Around 1,500 delegates including dignitaries, international experts, scientists, industrialists, academicians, start-ups and students are participating in the event.
During this period, more than 75 start-ups as well as about 200 industrial units and micro, small and medium enterprises will showcase their indigenous capabilities in the exhibition.
The conference will feature technical sessions with leading scientists/technologists/services officials from the Indian side as well as renowned speakers from Safran, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, MIT USA and Cranfield UK.
The programme also includes a start-up challenge which has been held across the country. The finalists will present their innovative ideas and products along with their vision for “India's Space Technology Development by 2047”.
Many other programs have also been planned to connect with the youth of the country through this event.
Aeronautical Society of India (AESI):
AESI was established in the year 1948 to promote the space technology and aviation sector in India with the Prime Minister as the principal patron.
The objective of starting AESI is to promote the advancement and nationwide dissemination of knowledge of aeronautical science and aviation engineering among various streams including industry, academia and research laboratories.
AESI gave many important scientists to the country:
AESI has provided significant leadership to the country with eminent luminaries in the field of space technology and aviation as its members and Presidents, prominent among them being Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Satish Dhawan,Dr. VS Arunachalam, Dr. VK Saraswat etc. are included. This has been a catalyst for development in the country as a whole.
AESI is represented by eminent space technology professionals from research organizations, space technology industries and academia.
