- He offered flowers on a copy of the Bhagavad Gita to pay his tribute and visited the Saras and Shilp Mela held on the banks of Brahma Sarovar.
International Gita Mahotsav 2025 partner country and partner state
- England has been declared the partner country for the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 and Madhya Pradesh is the partner state of the International Gita Mahotsav 2025.
- Ghosh informed that the International Gita Mahotsav-2025 will be held from 15 November to 5 December and the main events will run for eight days from 24 November to 1 December.
- It will mainly be celebrated in Kurukshetra, Haryana. It is believed that the Bhagavad Gita was delivered by Lord Krishna to Arjuna in Kurukshetra. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita has been a philosophical guide and spiritual mentor for Hindus since its inception.
- In the Gita, Lord Krishna gave many teachings to Arjuna, which are considered the ideal way of living.
International Gita Mahotsav 2025
- The Kurukshetra Development Board started organizing the Gita Jayanti Festival in Kurukshetra city from the year 1989. Thereafter, the Haryana government, through the Kurukshetra Development Board, made this event more grand and global.
- Since 2016, Gita Jayanti Festival has been celebrated as the International Gita Mahotsav so that the eternal and universal message of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita can be conveyed to the entire world.
Hornbill Festival 2025 in Nagaland
- The Nagaland government has declared the United Kingdom as the country partner for the upcoming Hornbill Festival 2025. This festival will be held from 1 to 10 December in Kisama, Kohima.
- Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and British Council’s Country Director in India, Alison Barrett, signed a formal agreement in New Delhi in the presence of British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron and senior representatives of both sides.
- The state has also declared Air India Express as the official travel partner for the Hornbill Festival.
- Under this collaboration, Air India Express will introduce a Boeing 737-8 aircraft inspired by the Tsungkotepsu design of the Ao Naga tribe’s warrior shawl under its ‘Tales of India’ initiative.
- On 22 November, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will welcome this special aircraft at Dimapur Airport. The airline will also offer a 15% discount on flights to and from Nagaland starting 20 November.
Asian Seed Congress 2025
- Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inaugurated the Asian Seed Congress 2025 in Mumbai. During the inauguration ceremony, the logo of the Asian Seed Congress 2025 was also unveiled, and the theme of this year’s conference is “Sowing the Seeds of Prosperity through Quality Seeds.”
- He stated that our country has 15 agro-climatic zones, so we need to develop varieties that can withstand drought, heat, and pesticides.
- He stated that two varieties of rice have been developed using advanced genome-editing technology, which will increase productivity by 19 to 40 percent with less water usage and will also reduce carbon emissions.
- On this occasion, biotechnologist and geneticist Trilochan Mohapatra was honored for his significant contribution to the seed sector in the public domain.
- During the Asian Seed Congress 2025, held from 17 to 21 November 2025, several informative sessions will be organized. A workshop was organized on the first day of the conference.
