A Ministerial round table conference was held on April 24th, 2024, during the 26th World Energy Congress in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

    • He mentioned that COP28 recognized the need to transition towards carbon neutrality, with emphasis on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) and green hydrogen.
  • The Secretary stressed the importance of inclusive approaches in managing energy transitions, including technology deployment and cooperation. 
    • He talked about the Revamped India Energy Security Scenarios (IESS) 2047 dashboard, which aids informed decision-making. 
    • He also mentioned the PM-KUSUM Scheme and solar rooftop programmes which promote environmental sustainability and job creation.
  • Finally, the Secretary emphasized the need for developing countries to have access to financing and clean technologies to navigate the energy trilemma effectively.
