The 14th India-Singapore bilateral military exercise, code-named “Bold Kurukshetra”, commenced at Jodhpur Military Station of the Indian Army in Rajasthan, on 27 December 2025.
The 14th Bold Kurukshetra exercise will be held in Jodhpur from 27 July to 4 August 2025.
The annual exercise between the two countries is part of a defence cooperation agreement signed between the two nations in 2003, aimed at expanding military cooperation, conducting joint military training, developing military technology, and achieving maritime security.
The first exercise was held in 2005.
The 13th “ Bold Kurukshetra” exercise was held at Jodhpur Military Station from 06-13 March 2023.
The Bold Kurukshetra is an armour exercise in which the armoured regiments of both the Armies participate.
In the 14th edition, the Indian Army deployed personnel of its Mechanised Infantry Regiment.
The Singaporean side is represented by the personnel of the 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade.
The Opening ceremony of the 14th Bold Kurukhetra was held at the Jodhpur Military Station on 27 July 2025, with Brigadier Pritam, Commander of 340 (I) Mechanised Brigade, and Colonel Wong Zeng Yu, Commander of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade, as chief guests.
Objective of the Exercise
It is a tabletop and Computer-Based Wargame military exercise. There will be no live firing of weapons by both sides.
They will simulate various mechanised war scenarios and test their battle readiness.
The exercise also aims at enhancing the interoperability and joint training capabilities of both armies.
India and Singapore have a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with a close defence interaction.
Apart from regular defence dialogue between the political leadership, the three services of the armed forces —Army, Air Force, and Navy —regularly conduct military exercises.
The following is a list of the military exercises conducted bilaterally between the armed forces of the two countries.
Exercise Agni Warrior
Between the Indian Army and the Singaporean Army.
First - 2004
Host- Always held in India
Frequency - Annual exercise
13th edition, 2024 - Deolali, Nashik, Maharashtra, from November 12 to 30, 2024.
Bold Kurukshetra
Armour Exercise between the Indian Army and the Singapore Army
First - 2005
Host - Always in India

14th edition - Jodhpur from 27 July to 4 August 2025.
Singapore-Indian Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX)
Between the Indian and Singapore Navy.
It is the longest continuous bilateral maritime exercise conducted by the Indian Navy with any foreign Navy.
First- in 1994, as Exercise Lion King.
Host - Alternatively, by the Indian and Singaporean Navies.
Frequency- Annual
31st Edition - Visakhapatnam, 23-29 October 2024.
India-Singapore Joint Military Training Exercise
First - 2007
Host - India, and is always held at the Kalaikunda Air Force Station in West Bengal.
Frequency - Annual
12th edition - At the Kalaikunda Air Force Station from 13-21 November 2024.
Milan Naval Exercise
Singapore- India-Thailand Maritime Exercise (SITMEX)
First - 2019
Frequency-annually
Host - Alternately by the three Navies.
4th edition - Hosted by the Indian Navy in Andaman and Nicobar from 8-11 November 2024.
ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise
The first ASEAN-India Maritime Exercises were hosted by the Singapore Navy in the South China Sea from 2-8 May 2023.
It involved the Indian Navy and the Navies of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
