India will host the speakers of parliament of G20 countries (P20 Group) from 12-14 October 2023 in the new Parliament building in New Delhi. This will be the ninth meeting of the P20 group, which was initiated during the G20 Presidency of Canada in 2010.
Speakers of parliament of G 20 countries and the presiding officers of the G20 countries and invitee nations will participate in the deliberations.
According to Muktesh Pardeshi, Special Secretary, G20 India, the main theme of the meeting will be “India as the mother of democracy.”
India is currently the President of G 20 and the 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit is scheduled to be held on 9-10 September 2023 in New Delhi.
G-20 is the premier forum for international economic cooperation representing around 85 percent of the global GDP, over 75 per cent of the worldwide trade, and about two-thirds of the world population.
